SA789 S31260 duplex stainless steel tube has good welding performance. Unlike the HAZ of ferritic stainless steel, the plastic toughness of this kind of steel tube is greatly reduced due to severe grain coarsening. It's also not as sensitive to thermal cracking in welds as Austenitic stainless steel. Due to its special advantages, dual-phase stainless steel is widely used in petrochemical equipment, seawater and wastewater treatment equipment, oil and gas pipelines, paper machinery and other industrial fields. In recent years, people have also studied its development prospects in the field of bridge load-bearing structure.
characteristics:
Corrosion resistance:S31260 steel in natural seawater, the pitting breakdown potential (scanning speed of 20mV/min) at 50℃ is 900Eb/mV. After solution treatment, the steel was sensitized at 650℃*1h and tested by CuSO4+H2SO4+Cu chip method, showing no tendency of intercrystalline corrosion
Duplex stainless steel corrosion resistant. They have strong resistance to inter-granular corrosion. Even in chloride and sulfide environments, duplex stainless steels show very high resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Duplex stainless steel work hardening alloy. Their micro-structure consists of austenitic phase and ferritic phase. Therefore, duplex stainless steel shows the characteristics of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. This combination of properties may mean some compromise compared to pure austenite and pure ferrite.
